Here is a note I have written in my scriptures on one of the intro pages:
"If we are not found faithful in our calling, we will bear some of the responsibility for the sins of those we might have helped to learn the truth."
Wow!
We better DO IT!
NOW!
Never let a moment go by without first giving every effort to do some good.
Another note written in my scriptures:
The word Mormon means "more good"!

Truth is Truth
"Some things are true whether you believe in them or not."
This is apparently a quote from the City of Angels movie with Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage. I don't know about the movie, but that is a great quote for Hollywood to use. I hope the movie was a good one.

A few Notes:
Notes I wrote on the back of reading charts (some dating back to July 2009):
(I'm tossing those notes today! As I continue the De-Junking process.)
Jacob 4:30 - labor diligently to engraven
- hoping our children will receive them with thankful hearts
- learn with joy concerning their first parents
(this is how I feel when I write our history books)
D&C 10:5
Pray always, that you may come off conqueror
"If you're always walking on tiptoe,
you'll never leave a footprint."
Mormon 9:31
"...learn to be more wise than we have been."
(liken this not only to those written of in the BofM, but
to our own children being more wise than we have been, and
to ourselves becoming more wise than we have thus far been.)

A few good quotes to think about
It's never too late to live happily ever after.
Adjust your outlook and your attitude will follow.
It's not where you have been,
it's where you are going.
We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence, then,
is not an act but a habit.

All You Can Do
All you can do is the best you can do.
And that is all God expects.
They (God and Christ) can fill in what we cannot do.
Heard this somewhere and loved it! Maybe I've saved it here before, but I left the paper trail and am now getting rid of it, so I had to make sure I have it saved (even if it's saved again).
food for thought
A real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows strong by reflection.
- Thomas Paine (1737-1809)
Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation, for 'tis better to be alone than with bad company.
- George Washington (1732-99)
You have absolute control over but one thing, and that is your thoughts. This is the most significant and inspiring of all facts known to man.
- Napoleon Hill (1883-1970)
and remember this for my next talk ;)
The secret of a good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending and have the two as close together as possible.
- George Burns (1896-1996)

End Results
Every conquering temptation represents a new fund of moral energy. Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit makes a soul nobler and stronger than it was before.

Choose Wisely
There is a choice you have to make,
in everything you do.
And you must always keep in mind,
the choice you make, makes you.

Where do we find the answers?
"...feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do."
